What you should have as a Lady to attract a man

Hi Diva, I  believe  you are basking in so much love and happiness. Today, we are looking inwards, as we discuss the traits that qualify a lady as a true friend but not just that. We will be looking at key character traits that a real guy looks out for in a lady that he will want to consider for friendship, love and marriage.

We must understand that in this day and age, information is readily available to all, in other words the level of enlightenment has greatly increased compared to what used to be. The contemporary guy knows exactly what he wants in his dream lady and can spot it immediately he discovers it. As much as you expect nice qualities from a friend, date or hubby, much more is expected of you and sometimes these personal traits could influence the way he treats you.


Some of these traits are natural basically, but most are acquired (they have to be consciously worked out). I will attempt to identify some here but as we know the list is inexhaustible:

1.  Facial Traits:

• Disposition
• Facial Comportment
• Presentation

The cliche that "a woman's face is her showroom" holds true anytime, any day. We cannot mince words about a face look . Efforts should be made to ensure that the face looks exactly like divinity meant it to - beautiful and awesome. Well made up but not necessary with much artificiality, yet attractive, gorgeous and most importantly cheerful. There is a saying that "the eyes eats the food first before the mouth". If the food is not attractive to the eyes the mouth will not want to taste if.

2. Body Language:

• Speech Pattern: 

Nothing dispels a decent man like a lady who talks in an awkward or razz manner. It is a turn-off for most people. A lady should be able to speak modestly. Very importantly, communication is key here.

It is not just  about talking but making sure that your feelings, thoughts and messages are passed on to your partner in the right way and at the right time. This is to ensure effective communication.

• Respect For Others: 

I must point out here that  the idea of gender equality does not reduce the basic societal expectations  from a lady. Respect  and courtesy must be accorded to others at all times anything less is totally unacceptable.

• Teachability: 

The importance of  open  mindedness can not be overemphasised because change is the only constant thing in life. I must advise that you be humble and open to learn from your  partner or spouse because that is the only way to become a better person. You will agree with me that nobody is a custodian of knowledge.

3. Determine Your Asset Level : 

It will be a matter of injustice to a potential partner or a spouse to think that it is only a man  that needs to build himself up to become a valuable asset. Actually, at present, a lady is causing herself more harm than good if she does not:
She must ensure she:

• Takes  deliberate steps to acquire  new skills and sharpen already learned ones.
• Utilises these skills for productivity and impact on the society at large.

Action points may include; learning good social skills, taking business courses, training in basic or professional catering, cosmetology etc. The list is inexhaustible and sometimes can be learnt from a friend or relative.

I must stress that finance should not be seen as a hindrance to development of oneself because determination is the most important factor. Remember nothing can stop a made up mind. So think it, act it, achieve it now . Start today, make that inquiry, get close to that friend of yours that specialises in  your area of interest, plan to attend that seminar or course! The  top will be inevitable for you definitely.

A woman of asset is always a source of joy to her partner and he will always be proud to call her his HELPMEET.

4. Homeliness: 

Charity they say begins at home. Therefore, a lady must exhibit all round beauty to include ability to maintain a good house keeping at all times. A well kept house is always welcoming to  occupants and visitors of a home on the other hand, an unkempt house is not only a turn-off for a man but poses a problem to the marriage and these include:

Hygiene/ health problems emanating from various infection and contamination of edibles.

It could lead to quarrels between a couple  to the extent of pushing the man to begin to look outside.

As a matter of fact, a lady MUST pay as much attention to housekeeping as she does to her appearance otherwise she will be undoing herself.

Some ladies may think men do not take note of some things. The truth is that they pay attention to how a lady keeps her home while they are in a relationship with her. It contributes to the decision he will take about whether to settle down with the lady or not.

The list is inexhaustible like I have said earlier and the truth is that virtuous women do not fall from the sky. They are persons that have made conscious efforts to set themselves apart and make themselves become a woman that any man will seek.

Strive to be part of those called virtuous and the right man will never let go when he finds you.
